100 Posts (Women and Port)

Quantity is no way to measure women or port. Substance and clarity, it seems to me, are more appropriate.
For every blonde that a man might land, there is a pool that collects the lost souls resulting from temporary passion. One woman among the many might be surprisingly deep and soulful, but what good is that soul if it’s expeditiously passed over and the next is ushered through?
In America, money and love are better when come fast, are better amassed in great quantities, are better when they are richer than what the next person has for themself. But women are not meant to be collected and they are not the only ones in jeopardy in when love involves numbers. With each loveless encounter when physicality in the primary motivation, the man and the woman move farther away from the capability to love.
On this point and perhaps only this point the women and wine metaphor begins to break apart. Some would argue that wine or any alochol is better when the intake is unlimited. Depending on the mood and intent, the more that can be consumed, the better. I am a beer drinker, though, and I would suggest that any alcohol in decent measure can bring about a suitable buzz, just enough to relax the body and calm the nerves. These drinkers who sip slowly to enjoy the real taste of their wine are the real conisseurs, the lovers per say, and very well might be the best men.
I do not claim to be an expert on women or alcohol. Most men realize it’s dangerous to mix the two – and the parallel between them both was drawn for fun, not necessarily from truth. These days, it takes only a few glasses to send me reeling. I am more relaxed when drunk. I am admittedly more fun. The moment is not so much more pleasuable as I am. And yet, through it all, I keep a level head and calm stomach.
The best beer is honest and clear, and the same is true of women. Your woman may be lovely on the outside, as mine is, but how much more beautiful is she when her love is straightforward and radiant?
