— Even God rests.
— The Lord continues his blessings. He begins by blessing creatures of the air and ocean, then blesses humanity. In the second chapter, he blesses the seventh day and declares it holy.
— Our God is a God of Action. Here he breathes, blesses, brings, creates, completes, corrects, causes, closes, makes, places, plants, speaks, forms and warns.
— God breathes life: “Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust on the ground. He breathed life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”
— The Lord plants the Garden of Eden and then places man there to cultivate the soil. The garden grows up around man and in these ideal surroundings, man still feels alone.
— In God’s lush garden created for man to have domain over, there are still rules to follow and boundaries to obey.
— Wild animals and birds were created to be a helper for man, but none were right.
— It’s not good for man to be alone.
— One woman was created to be with Adam … God did not give him multiple women. Likewise, one man is all woman needs.
— Man (Adam) was excited by the creation of woman (Eve): “‘At last!’ the man exclaimed.”
— Men and animals were made from the dust. Woman comes from man’s rib.
